11).Stefan walks down the street and grabs his head, “Something very good has happened Stefan, and that’s very bad.”

The show starts in the inside of a house. A four year old girl runs into the room giggling, chased by a boy about 12, holding a cat with a cartouche on it, “Meowth will get you and your pokemon” the boy teases as the girl rummages on her bed until she pulls out a large yellow rodent with an electric antenna tail, “Pika pi!” the red haired girl in pigtails yells as she turns and chases her brother. A boy about seven watches from his room, shaking his head and shutting the door as the girl catches her brother and tackles him into the sofa. “Pi Ka CHU!” she says before slapping the cat out of his hands with pikachu. The boy laughs as he hugs his sister, “Vic a Chu!” he laughs he lifts her into the air above his head. She smiles and holds her hands up. The two race out of the living room and the scene shifts to a garage. A truck that reads “Thorne Construction” sits in the driveway. The boy looks like he’s aged up to about 16 as he sits around a table a paper in one hand and some dice in the other. “Looks like Karnax’s luck might just run out,” a heavy set guy with rim horn glasses says from behing a screen. The kid shrugs, “Maybe I need to change my luck he says,” before letting out a whistle. The red haired girl appears to be 8, wearing a Transformers t-shirt that looks a little rough runs in with a bottle of Mountain dew. The boy laughs, “Thanks Vicky, but no. I need you to roll the dice for me.”

One of the other kids leans in towards Vicki, “Kyle’s rolled pretty bad all night.” Victoria shrugs, “Ok Kyle!” she says as she stands next to them and shakes the dice furiously before rolling. Everyone at the table shouts as the dice stops as Kyle does a fist pump. Victoria looks at her brother, “Did I do good?” Kyle laughs, “Did you do good? No Vicky, you did epically good! Fist bump!” he says as she bumped her little fist onto his. “You’re going to have to stay here and roll all my dice for me.” Victoria smiles, “Ok!” she yells. Just then the younger brother who appears to be 10 walks into the garage. “Jake, you want in on this?” Kyle asks, motioning to the spot right next to him, opposite Vicky. “No, I’m playing basketball. I don’t want to play your dork games.” Jacob says as he grabs a basketball and walks away. “Oh no Vicky, we’re not cool enough for Jake!” Kyle laughs as Victoria joins in, “We are too cool!” Victoria laughs at Jacob as Kyle hugs her by the shoulder, “Darn right we are.”

As the garage door closes, the scene changes. An argument can be heard as a slightly older Victoria and Jacob sit on the top of the stairs. “No son of mine is joining the army!” a man’s angry voice can be heard, silouettes dancing across the kids and the wall erratically. “Dad, it’s a done deal. Nothing you can do about it.” a young man’s voice echos back. “You were supposed to come to work with me in the summer! We were going to change the name of the company to Thorne and sons!” an exasperated father laments. “Dad, people aren’t safe right now. I can help that. It’s the right thing to do.” Victoria starts crying as Jacob hugs her tightly, tears streaming down his face.

The scene shifts to outside a bus depot. The truck that reads “Thorne’s Construction” pulls up as the Victoria, Jacob pile out of the backseat while their father and older brother exit the vehicle. Kyle hugs his dad, holding his bag. “I’ll be back before you know it. Before Jake graduates, I’ll come back and we’ll see about this ‘Thorne and Sons’ thing, ok dad?” The man nods, looking away blinking tears. Kyle walks up to Jacob and goes to say something, but Jacob practically tackles him, “I wish you weren’t leaving.” He says sadly. “I know. Man’s got to do what a man’s got to do lil brother. You’ll figure that out soon enough.

Kyle gets on one knee as he looks into the face of a crushed 10 year old Victoria, “I need you to listen to me, Vicki,” Kyle says with a smile on his face. The camera fades to a shot of the front of the house as two men in uniform approach it. “Don’t ever let anyone tell you who to be or what you should or shouldn’t like. You be your own woman.” The door is opened as Victoria’s father looks at the two men with a look of horror. “If you want to like Science fiction or want to take up Carpentry and make Dad change it to Thorne and Daughter, damn well do it. It’s like those books I gave you Victoria.” A flag is handed to Victoria as her father holds Jacob who is crying and flailing. “It’s a choose your own adventure, this life we have. Roll well.” Victoria holds the flag as her voice can be heard, “And roll on.” she says quietly.

Scene is a front dashboard as the car pulls out of the school parking lot. A hand clicks on the radio, “The Orion owls are off to an impressive start with a 33-10 victory over Salem East tonight. Dave, what were the highlights?”

“Guys John, Salza Salazar is everything we thought, having ran for 120 yards and 2 Tds. Coach Bonifield might have to keep an eye on him as he did run up an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on his second touchdown,” scene changes to Salazar #22 crossing the goalline then holding the football like a mic and appearing to pop off like he was on stage. With a ref throwing a yellow flag. Jennings had a solid game as well, making no mistakes and catching Salem cheating up to beat the run several times.” Shot shows #7 Jennings faking to Salazar and then throwing a touch pass down the left sideline for a touchdown. “Rick what was your take?”

“The Defense was outstanding. Zeus Lattimore began the self entitled, “Rain of Terror” tonight with two sacks and a forced fumble.” Scene shows Zeus standing over the Salem Quarterback as he screams into the air. Stefan Worthington, another freshman made the most of his opportunity with seven tackles for a loss,” scene shows Stefan diving over the top of an attempted low block and hitting the Salem running back, droppin g him. But I think the hardest hitter I’ve ever seen is on the JV team. Scene shifts to Danielle and Dillon driving in the car, “Did you see Dillon Warner? I’d be shocked if he wasn’t in the back of an OPD car being chared with assault.” Danielle looks at Dillon who merely shrugs.

Flashback 3 hours earlier

Victoria and Jacob have a discussion. Jacob warns her about Todd Jennings. Victoria reassures him that everythings fine and it’s not a big deal. Jacob confides that they may not have the same brother/sister relationship that her and Kyle did, but lets her know that he’s still looking out for her.
Stefan meets up with Lei Yan, and wants to meet up with her brother Yoshi to acquire some X. Lei Yan gets a string from Stefan and then sets up the meet. Yoshi agrees to help Stefan get the X, but he has to come with to get it. On the drive up, Yoshi hits on Stefan who politely steers the conversation in other directions. Stefan gets his X.
Jennifer Salazar approaches Jennifer Matthews and warns her about what her family’s reaction to her and Salza being a couple would be. JM thanks JS for the heads up. JS reiterates that she doesn’t really care, and that isn’t her opinion.
Danielle asks Dillon about Stefan and what he knows about this guy. Dillon says he knows little, but he’ll keep his ears open.
Zeus approaches Zachariah and lets him know he needs to be careful about Lisa Jennings. Zeus says he can tell she’s crushing on Zachariah and that the quarterback’s little sister might be dangerous water to tread. Zachariah keeps insisting that Lisa and Billy are an item, but Zeus doesn’t believe him. Zeus also invites him to a family BBQ on Saturday.

Friday party

Stefan successfully makes Demon infused ecstacy. He spikes the punchbowl with it.
Zachariah bumps into Charity, the head cheerleader. For just a moment the fog clouds in his head part and he feels like he can almost remember Heaven.
Victoria walks into the party and sits with Todd and his friends holding court.
Jennifer shows up after stealing James car and is immediately sequestered by Cassidy who asks Jennifer to help keep Victoria occupied when she heads to the bathroom. Jennifer is slightly confused but agrees.
Cassidy spills a drink on Victoria, who heads to the bathroom to get cleaned up. As Jennifer distracts her, a red carpet and ‘paparazzi’ show up to take pictures as Veronica walks into the party and sits in the seat vacated by Victoria right next to Todd.
Dillon and Danielle went to the party. Dillon seemed content to watch what was happening with the ecstacy punch, but he did talk to Giselle who was hanging out in the yard.
Victoria became a one woman wrecking crew when she saw the BS Veronica pulled. Between her and an assist from Zachariah and Billy she got her hands on Veronica for a few seconds, putting her through a table before some linemen pulled her off Veronica.
Stefan approached Giselle and Dillon. He tried to get Giselle to talk to her brother. Giselle got annoyed at this, asking why would she do that. After rebuking some offers, she came to an agreement. Stefan would owe her a favor and she would agree to come to Common Grounds to hear them play. Stefan agreed.
As Stefan and Amara were dancing, Danielle approached and threw Amara in the pool. She then informed Stefan that he should go with her on Sunday out kayaking. Stefan ignored her and ran to the pool to check on Amara. Dillon realized that his sister was a werewolf like him and pulled her back to her car.

Saturday stuff

Todd texted Victoria and let her know he was sorry for the mess yesterday, wanted to make up for it with a movie tonight. Victoria informed him she had plans and then asked to move it to Sunday, which he agreed.
Jennifer went street racing with Yoshi. After Yoshi won, he gave Jennifer $500.00 and told her hotwire lessons begin next Saturday.

Zachariah and Zeus hang out at the BBQ after Zachariah’s foster mom forces him to go. Zachariah meets Zeus’ family.

Common Ground Concert goes off well. Amara sings cover of “You oughta know” as she makes eye contact with Stefan. Dillon catches that one of Adam’s songs revolves around a girl who was lost to him. Thinks it might have something to do with Jennifer. Giselle lets Stefan know she will speak to her brother about the band, but they might want to switch Amara to lead full time in her opinion.

As Victoria is cutting through the park, she is assaulted by a creature made of ash. As she summons her chains, she dispatches one, but finds herself surrounded. As she tries to step back, she trips on a tree root. She hears some muffled ‘pap’ sounds and finds all of the ash creatures disintegrating as she looks up into the eyes of a young blonde woman with a gun. As the woman offers her a hand up, she headbutts Victoria, knocking her out. “Rookies…” the woman mutters, throwing Victoria over her shoulder and walking away.
